English language challenges
Since this is the last time I'll be blogging, this one will be oriented towards giving a review of this term's course.
I decided to take this class because I wanted to refresh my vocabulary and my ability to think in English, two things that I hadn't done properly in the last 6 or 7 yearswoah, I hadn't realized it was that long. I didn't have the opportunity to do so since high school and now I had it again. So I took the test to know which was my level and started the class as intended. I'd say that I'm pleased with the class because I got to do those two things I mentioned, and also I got to recognize some of my weaknesses. I already understood that my biggest strength in English is speaking; I'm not too bad at writing, but doing these blogs I could see some mistakes I made and learn how to correct them.
I still have to keep writing in English to locate more difficulties in this area, and I also have problems with all the formal and grammatical aspects of the language, since I reviewed them a loooong time ago and I already forgot. I don't really know if I'll actively find a way to solve these issues, given that with what I know now I can fairly communicate and get my point across, as well as understanding others and being able to read formal English, actually understanding and not just figuring out what people are trying to say. But if the opportunity arises (just like this one), I'm sure I'll take it. I really like this language, so why not.
Out of class, I use my english somewhat frequently, but completely disturbing it and using it for my spanglish purposessorryyy. I also use it to hear series/movies I cannot watch at that moment, if for some reason I have to be looking the other way. I also talk to some friends in English, it's always fun to do that.
This class helped me undust my fluidity and I appreciate that :)
